Sri Lanka cricket board. Tuesday’s hearing is scheduled to take place early next month. Sri Lanka’s Minister of Sports, Arjuna Ranatunga, has taken decisive action after their loss against India by a wide margin of 302 runs. The team mustered up only 55 runs in 19.4 overs. Ranasinghe has expressed extensive discontentment with Sri Lanka’s Cricket Board for months, which is regarded as the wealthiest sports organisation in the country and suffers from serious financial problems. With his new position assumed on Monday, Ranatunga affirmed his mission to reform this infamous and corrupt organisation.
“Sri Lanka Cricket has a well-known reputation of being the most corrupt institution and it’s time to change this image,” the 1996 World Cup winner stated.
