VIEW: Pakistan’s cricket squad going on a shopping trip in India

mann Afzaal, spin coach Gabbar Ali and fitness trainer Grant Luden had visited the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kalkata to have a glance at the pitch conditions and to plan for their match against the Three Lions On November 11. On Tuesday, the Pakistani cricket team spent a leisurely day off with some shopping excursions and sight-seeing. The players went to a mall near the team’s hotel to pick up some clothes, and Abdullah Shafique and Usama Mir even purchased sarees for members of their families.

Babar Azam and the team’s support staff ventured to the Eden Gardens Stadium to inspect the pitch and strategize for their upcoming fixture against England on November 11. Andrew Puttick and Morne Morkel, the bowling coach, took a break to go golfing on Tuesday as they gave the national team a day of rest. Going out for a friendly round of golf is expected to improve the spirits of the team, since they are restricted from leaving the hotel amid increased security precautions.

Last week, the director of the team, Mickey Arthur, commented on the difficulty of having to go through tight securities, saying it felt similar to the restrictions of the pandemic.
